Quick start
This quick start leads from the original document to a redacted export. It assumes a tenant that is set up with a valid licence, a project, and a user account with the necessary rights. The examples use the fictitious tenant “Muster GmbH” with the project “Personnel files”.
Step 1: open the project and upload documents
Section titled “Step 1: open the project and upload documents”Open the project under Projects. The workflow stepper guides you through the process; step 1, “Upload”, opens the folder browser with the upload area — drag files in and click “Upload all”:

Each document then goes through processing automatically (PDF rendition, text recognition, preview images).
Step 2: detect data automatically
Section titled “Step 2: detect data automatically”Step 2, “Find data”, starts automatic PII detection across all documents in the project. Choose the Standard profile and click “Scan documents”; then review the findings and import them into the project dictionary as redactions (or pseudonyms):

Step 3: review and refine in the viewer
Section titled “Step 3: review and refine in the viewer”Open a document and check the result in the document viewer. In the Redaction tool every word is clickable — a left click redacts, a right click removes; with Shift the term goes into the dictionary project-wide (all click combinations):

Then confirm the document with “Approve” (see review, comment, approve).
Step 4: export
Section titled “Step 4: export”Step 4, “Export”, exports the project (or a selection) as a ZIP — in the Edited mode the redactions are irreversibly removed from the result. For details and options (PDF/A, OCR, metadata, file names): downloading and exporting.
