Managing groups

Groups bundle users for assigning permissions — instead of ten individual grants you assign one group grant. The Groups page (/admin/groups) lists the name, description, member count and creation date; “New group” opens the form.

Editing a group, with master data, members and the access overview

  • Master data: the name (mandatory) and a description. After you save for the first time, the page switches to edit mode automatically so that you can assign members straight away.
  • Members: through the “Select user …” search field plus “Add” you take active users in; “Remove” takes them out again.
  • Access overview: shows (read-only) the roles assigned to the group, per project.

Example — the “Accounting” team: create the group Accounting, take the three case handlers in as members, then under Access give the group the Editor role for the project “Personnel files” — every future team member inherits the access simply by being a member of the group.
