Document search

The document search lets you search the Docuflair archive for stored documents — much like a search engine for your archived files. You search by file name, content, tags or other metadata.

You reach the document search through the menu navigation under Archive > Document search.

Permission required

To access this function you need the following permission:

  • Allow archive search (AdminUI_ArchiveStorage_AllowSearch)

Permissions are granted through groups — see permissions – overview.

Document search in the archive

The document search searches both the title and the content (the OCR text) of the archived documents. Enter the search term you want in the search field and click Search to display the results.

The following filters are available by default:

Filter Description
Created on Filters documents by the period they were created in (a date range).
Permissions Filters by access rights: all documents, my documents, shared with me, shared by me, or without an owner.
Creator Filters by the user who created the document. Multiple selection is possible.
Directory Filters by the virtual directory the document is filed in. Multiple selection is possible.
Tags Filters by the tags assigned. Multiple selection is possible.

The Add filter button lets you add further filter attributes. Which attributes are available depends on the metadata present in the archive, for example:

  • Document category
  • File extension
  • File size
  • Document type
  • Page count
  • Import type

The search results appear in a list view. Clicking a document opens the document view.
