Network discovery

The network discovery searches a range of IP addresses on your network for compatible multifunction printers automatically. Instead of registering every device by hand one at a time, you let Docuflair find the devices present by itself.

You reach the network discovery through the menu navigation under Devices > Registration, on the Network tab. In that area you search the network for compatible devices on the basis of a defined IP range. Enter a start and an end value and then click Restart the search.

Permission required

To access this function you need the following permission:

• Network discovery (AdminUI_DeviceManagement_SearchNetwork)

You grant permissions through groups — see permissions – overview.

In the screenshot the search for the IP range 192.168.10.0 to 192.168.10.255 is under way; a device from the manufacturer Sharp with the IP address 192.168.10.11 was already found after a few moments.
