Print settings
The print settings determine the default values that apply to the various print modes — printing documents from storage locations, emails, photos or pull print, for instance. Here you also configure the copy settings and advanced options such as the Raspberry Pi connection.
Permission required
To access this function you need the following permission:
- Edit print settings (

Permissions are granted through groups — see permissions – overview.
Printing
Section titled “Printing”There are currently five different print modes for which you store default print settings:
- Documents from storage locations
- Emails and uploads
- Photos
- Pull print
- Raspberry Pi

Copying
Section titled “Copying”
Pull print
Section titled “Pull print”To ease the move from the obsolete Equitrac software to Docuflair, you can run both systems in parallel during a transitional phase. The focus here is on pull print and FollowYou/Me jobs.
Docuflair can import jobs that Equitrac places in the EQSpool folder into a print queue you define. That lets those jobs be displayed, printed and deleted both on older devices with Equitrac and on new devices with Docuflair. Communication between Equitrac and Docuflair is bidirectional: if you delete a job imported that way, it is removed from the Equitrac database too.
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”For the Equitrac hybrid mode to work, go to Printing/Settings/Pull print and select any queue from Docuflair Manager under Equitrac pull print queue as the one that jobs should be imported into. Then give the path to the EQSpool folder under Equitrac pull print spool directory.

If needed, enable Refresh the page after a pull print operation. The multifunction printer then reloads the page after jobs have been deleted or printed, to check whether anything about the jobs has changed.
You also define the default view of the pull print jobs here, as a list or as tiles.
Advanced settings
Section titled “Advanced settings”Printing from, and scanning to, a Raspberry Pi resembles using a storage location: you browse a drive attached to the Raspberry Pi over USB, much like Explorer in Microsoft Windows. After selecting the subfolder you want, you pick a file to scan or print. Printing is supported for all common document types; you can find a list here.
You can assign exactly one Raspberry Pi to each multifunction printer in Docuflair. By contrast, you use storage locations to share a Raspberry Pi’s shares between several Docuflair multifunction printers.
To be able to use a Raspberry Pi with Docuflair, Raspbian and an automounter for USB have to be installed. Preparing a Raspberry Pi is described here. In theory you can of course also use any other Linux computer as an extended storage location for Docuflair.
Enabling the Raspberry Pi extension
Section titled “Enabling the Raspberry Pi extension”To enable Raspberry Pi support, choose system/default settings in the Docuflair Manager start menu and then Advanced settings.

In the Raspberry display name input field you enter the name the application should have on the multifunction printer’s screen. The default is RASPBERRY.
Setting up a connection between a Raspberry Pi and a device
Section titled “Setting up a connection between a Raspberry Pi and a device”To assign a Raspberry Pi unambiguously to a printer, choose Devices/Registration in the Docuflair Manager start menu. You make the assignment by editing the device you want.

| Name | Description |
