Scan settings

The scan settings determine the default values used when scanning at the multifunction printer — the file format, resolution or colour mode, for instance. As an administrator you also determine here which options users may change at the device and which they may not.

The Scanning/Settings menu takes you to the default settings of the scan function.

Permission required

To access this function you need the following permission:

Edit scan settings (AdminUI_ScanManagement_EditScanSettings)

You grant permissions through groups — see permissions – overview.

Three modes are available for the settings:

Standard
QR code quick scan
Training a form

Default settings of the scan function

For the various functions you can make a preselection here — that is, set defaults of your own. You can also lock options as you wish through the Commands on the right-hand side, so that they cannot be changed in operation, or switch off their display so that certain options do not appear at all.
