Creating and editing a user

When you create a new user or edit an existing one under System > User management, you arrive at the following five sub-menus: General, Groups, Credit, Storage locations and Synchronisation.

Permission required

To access this function you need the following permission:

  • Create user (AdminUI_UserManagement_CreateUser)

Permissions are granted through groups — see permissions – overview.

Under General you store details such as the name, email address, password and the like.

The General sub-menu while creating a user

To set a user up, it is enough to give a name, an email address, a password and, ideally, a PIN code. A PIN code lets users sign in at devices faster. The other sub-menus are purely optional.

For every user created in Docuflair you can upload a user logo. It appears in the Docuflair menu and on the start page at the multifunction device as soon as that user is signed in.

In this sub-menu you adjust which groups the user selected belongs to.

Credit shows the user’s transaction history.

This is also where you can top their credit up.

Here you manage the storage locations assigned to the user.
