Setting the RA-MICRO Connector up
RA-MICRO is legal software for solicitors that is widely used in Germany. The “Docuflair RA-MICRO Connector” makes it possible to import scanned documents straight from the printer’s display into the RA-MICRO case management.
So that Docuflair can reach RA-MICRO’s data, you install a small helper program named “Docuflair RA-MICRO Connector” on an RA-MICRO client. Run that helper program once it is installed, to allow two-way communication across the network.
You can download the “Docuflair RA-MICRO Connector” here.
Installing the RA-MICRO Connector
Section titled “Installing the RA-MICRO Connector”Start the setup file of the “RA-MICRO Connector” you downloaded on a computer that RA-MICRO runs on. Accept the licence agreement to begin the installation.

Choose the software components, or the configuration, that is to be set up during the installation.
The main component “Docuflair RA-MICRO Connector” always has to be installed. The automatic start for every user (“Autostart for all users”) is optional, but recommended. Where you do not choose that option, someone at the firm has to make sure the application is running while Docuflair is in use.

A click on “Next” starts the copying and the application is set up.
Starting the RA-MICRO Connector
Section titled “Starting the RA-MICRO Connector”You can call the “RA-MICRO Connector” up and run it by hand from the Windows start menu.

The application starts minimised and is shown only as a small notification icon in the Windows notification area.

A click on the Docuflair icon opens the application and shows it.

Note down the URL that can be reached from your Docuflair server. You need that URL to complete the installation and configuration on the Docuflair server.
Configuring the Docuflair server
Section titled “Configuring the Docuflair server”To configure it, open Docuflair Manager and sign in as an administrator (normally admin). Legal software in the Scanning menu item opens Docuflair’s configuration page for setting RA-MICRO up. Add legal software sets a new connection to a legal system up — RA-MICRO in this case.
Note that setting a connection to RA-MICRO up requires a valid licence.

Give the new connection a unique name, “RA-MICRO” for example. You can optionally enter a description as well.
Choose Network interface (RA-MICRO, DATEV) as the mode. Where the RA-MICRO users are to receive a copy of the documents in the Digitaler Postkorb, switch the Ask for the case handler at the start option on.

In the last step you configure the data access across the network. Under Server, enter the URL from the network connection and set the user name and password to the default value “admin”.
You can enter a password of your own in the file “%appdata%\Docuflair\RaMicroConnector.xml”.

You set every other option according to the firm’s requirements.
The connection string
Section titled “The connection string”This is how you establish a connection to the database server:
