Print: mobile print

With mobile print you print from your smartphone or tablet straight to a multifunction device. To do so, you send an email to a (freely configurable) email address that Docuflair monitors. For notebooks and workstations with no connection to the print server, the Docuflair Print Agent is a better fit. As soon as a new email arrives, Docuflair collects it and converts the message text and every attachment to PDF.

Note

Conversion can take a few minutes, depending on the document size and the speed of the Docuflair server.

If conversion succeeds for at least one document, Docuflair generates a secret key (PIN) and sends it back to the sender as a confirmation email.

Note

If your sender email address is assigned to a user in Docuflair, you can manage the documents transferred: sign in to the Docuflair server’s web page and choose Documents/My documents.

Printing at the multifunction printer

To print the email you have two options, once you open the Docuflair application at the multifunction printer and the start page appears:

• Start the Print: emails application and then enter the secret PIN code.
• If you are set up in Docuflair as a user with your email address, start the Print: uploads application.

Using PIN codes

To print the email or its attachments, start the Print: emails application at a multifunction printer connected to the Docuflair server. A page opens asking for the secret PIN code.

Enter the secret PIN code and tap Retrieve. If the entry is correct, the application shows a list of the message texts and attachments of that email. With an incorrect PIN code the entry is cleared and you have to enter the PIN code again.

Once you select a document, Docuflair switches to the print preview. There you make your settings and start the printout.

Note

Docuflair treats message texts as documents too. If two entries named Message text appear, they are a text version and an HTML version of the message text.

Tap Print and the document is produced on the multifunction printer with the print settings you chose. Choose Range to print only a limited range of pages rather than all of them. Delete removes a document from the Docuflair server.
