Scan: home (Scan2Home)

The Scan: home function lets you scan straight into your personal user directory. Once you have signed in at the multifunction printer, your personal scan destinations are available automatically, with no need to select them by hand.

In the Docuflair main menu, tap Scan: home to start the application. The scan destinations configured for the user signed in are shown.

In this variant the user directory (home directory) is synchronised from Active Directory. Up to three contacts are created per user:

  • Home directory - the user directory held in Active Directory, as a storage location contact
  • Email address - the email address held in Active Directory, as an email contact
  • Fax number - the fax number held in Active Directory, as a fax contact

These destinations are available for selection in the Scan: home function once you have signed in.

The user directories are reconciled automatically by contact synchronisation in Docuflair Manager. For more, see synchronising contacts.

In this variant the user directory is determined as a subfolder of a central network directory. The folder name corresponds to the sign-in name of the user signed in.

An example: if the central directory is \\server\home\ and the user name is mmustermann, then \\server\home\mmustermann\ is used automatically as the scan destination.

Variant 3: a contact with a network directory

Section titled “Variant 3: a contact with a network directory”

In this variant an individual contact with a network directory as its scan destination is created for every user. The assignment is made through contact management in Docuflair Manager.

For more on the configuration, see address books.
